About:  Hey guys! Hannah here. Welcome to Luna Cheesecakes for Wendy. If you would like to know the meaning behind my title, read my first post. Yeah that's right, go all the way back to the beginning.

Anyways, I decided to start a blog because to me, blogging is a way to express myself. I can tell my readers things about me that I would have never shared previously and you guys can get a glimpse at what goes on in my mind.
So today I wore this detached collar to school. These collars are actually trending right now in the fashion world and I decided to follow the collar craze! I pretty much just bought a bunch of men’s shirts from goodwill for $4 apiece and snipped off the collars. I got some compliments, some questions, and definitely some weird looks.
Classmate: “Is your collar…floating?”
Me: “HAHA yeah totally.”
In Latin class
Teacher: “Are you wearing just a collar?”
Me: “Yep!”
“Funny, those used to be ‘in’ back then.”
“Really??”
So I googled ‘detachable collar history’ and turns out it was really popular in the 1800s and early 1900s. Someone’s wife decided to cut off her husband’s collars because she got tired of washing the whole shirt when only his collar got dirty. People started ordering collars and they would deliver them. And then the supposed first sweat shop was born. Pretty cool, huh? I think it’s super awesome because that just goes to show how fashion repeats and recycles itself.
Just a little food for thought.
